Our Mission

At SPW, our mission extends far beyond our walls. By committing 10% of our annual income to support vital local and international ministries, we are actively participating in transformative work around the globe. Local Missions

Bridgeport Rescue Mission
For decades, Bridgeport Rescue Mission has been a place of refuge for neighbors facing hunger, homelessness, and addiction. What started as a small act of compassion has grown into a community care center where lives are restored every day. Here, people find more than help—they find stability, support, and a path toward a brighter future.
Pivot Ministries
Pivot Ministries treats addiction as a spiritual problem and returns men to their families, usefully whole. They provide men with a faith-based, low-cost, structured, and active recovery program that fosters spiritual growth, personal discipline, life skills, and vocational discernment, so they can return to their community sober, employed, and motivated to serve.
St. Paul Christian School
St. Paul Christian School is an accredited preschool in Westport, CT and a ministry of St. Paul Lutheran Church. SPCS has been serving children and their families since 1976. The mission of SPCS is to provide a distinctly Christian environment that promotes the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of young children.

International Missions

Rise & Shine (South Asia)
Rise+Shine exists to support vulnerable children and adults in South Asia by equipping them with life skills and leadership training. Rise+Shine sees a generation rising up who are committed to sharing God’s love and doing His work in South Asia. They empower the next generation to not only thrive personally but also be a change agent in their community by bringing light and hope to people around them. Rise+Shine partners with experts on the ground to identify and outwork the best solutions for the challenges that individual communities face.
Hope Homes (Kenya)
For over 20 years, Hope Homes has provided orphaned and abandoned children a safe and nurturing environment to grow into healthy and productive adults. Many of the children have been severely traumatized. At Hope Homes, every child lives in a family environment that provides the love and nurturing they need. Hope Homes believes education is key. It's why Hope Homes pays to have every one of our children attend a local private school from K-12.
Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Sorá (Panama)
Sorá is an LCMS congregation and school faithfully serving the people of Sora, Panama, with the love of Jesus Christ.
YWAM Constanta (Romania)
