Mourning Brokenness

There is much in our lives and in this broken world that causes us to grieve. Yet we often avoid slowing down long enough to acknowledge our pain, our sin, and the brokenness around us. In the second Beatitude, Jesus declares that those who mourn are blessed—not because grief is good, but because God meets us there with His comfort and healing.
